Topic :
Mary Magdalen an example of faithfulness and integrity in action
We can stay long in a religious confession and remain the same old man
This year our main topic reminds that we should transform what we learn into action. And today we will learn from the transformation of Mary, seven demons were casted out of her, and started working faithfully with Jesus, she did it with full integrity till the end.
Being integer is being honest and having a strong moral principle everywhere we are and in any condition.
Mary is an example of someone faithful even in difficult situation. So, what do we learn from her?
From her We learn that:
There is no faithfulness without the renewal of mind: Roman 12:2 reminds us that we need to get a mind renewed regardless our context. And from marry we see that when we meet with Jesus, he renews our mind and the way we view things around us. The challenge for today is that, we live in a generation where we doubt everything, we are quick to agree with every idea. True renewal calls us to go back God and his world, and checks what it recommends we should do in a given situation.
There is the reason why we should remain faithful to God and live with integrity. Luke 8:2. God has been faithful to us in various ways and it should reinforce our engagement to his ministry. Mary’s faithfulness was a response to her deliverance. Let look back and we will realize that God has been with us all along the way let in response serve him boldly.
Integrity and faithfulness, a call for a life of generosity and compassion: Luke 24:1, faithfulness and integrity make us be generous, in john3:8 it reminds that we should love in action and truth. The challenge actually is that the world has convinced that living integrity is impossible and has just made so many shortcuts. But peoples like Daniel are a proof that we can stay true even in a corrupt world.
Integrity and faithfulness expose us to our miracle. (Luke 24:5-6): it’s only God who can testify of our integrity and he is the one who rewards it at his time. We need to show it practically, in history we can find so many people that can show us how God is faithful, like the experience of our preacher in his logistic career.
We need to look at God, not men, if we want to be true because he is the one, we are following. And even in a corrupted word let remain faithful, God test our integrity in little things and he is the rewarder of the winners.
