Theme: The benefit of being in the convenient with the Lord  

Book: Deuteronomy 7: 1-9

The Lord has chosen us to be His treasured priceless people, He is our God and we are His people, we are one with Him, this is our convenient with Him. There are countless benefits of being in a convenient with the Lord. In the seventh chapter of the book of Deuteronomy, Moses is instructing Israel on how to behave as the chosen people of God as they were entering the promised land. And these instructions attached some benefits, which are the following:  

The Lord who is in the convenient with you will always side with you. V1  

Indeed, God will take us to the land of our destiny no matter what, He can't leave us midway, He will make sure to bring us where He want us to be. All we need to do is to trust and obey. In Numbers 13, Joshua and Caleb believed that they would go against peoples living in Canaan as the Lord was with them, nobody would stand against them. So, let's keep in our mind that because we are in a convenient with God, no matter the obstacles, struggles, problems we'll face, in every circumstance, the Lord shall always side with us.  

When we are in a convenient with the Lord, we shall not compromise with any other kind of faith and believe. V4-6  

This is a call to remain true and faithful to our identity as   chosen people like Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego did.   In our convenient with God, we've got to trust Him no matter what we come across with on our way, because we belong to the Lord, the Lord alone.  

Gratitude precede miracle. The Lord our God is the only God. V8-9  

Here, we're called to live in the mindful attitude of gratitude and not the pride and arrogance way. When the Lord has answered our prayers, do not bypass it nor take it for granted but in every circumstance, let us be grateful to Him for all His deeds. We have to always be conscious of the fact that the Lord we are in a convenient with, is the one who brought us where we are; It is not because of our might nor our intelligence, nor anything else, for we are because the Lord is.  When the Bible says Know that The Lord your God is the only God, this means experience in practical skills: knowing Him with our heart, attitude, offering, voice, … whatever we can use to say: ‟God you are the only God”    

Dear brothers and sisters, let's remain grateful to God for He is full of mercy, let's worship Him for He is faithful. Let's believe that, for every aspect of our lives, the Lord is with us, and will always side with us because we are his beloved chosen people. All it takes is for us to be grateful, to trust and obey and most importantly, not to compromise. May the Lord help us.
