Theme: How do we get transformed in order to transform others?
Texts: Colossians 2:5, Philippians 2:5-11, Galatians 5:22-23, John 13.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be transformed into his likeness. Our spiritual journey must reflect the image of Christ.

Below are three key things that we can do to become more like Christ:

• Develop the mind of Christ. This means adopting his way of thinking and seeing the world. He had a servant's heart, he served God and humanity, he humbled himself for our salvation. We ought to have a mindset of a servant and develop humility that allows us to serve people, to serve God and wait for God’s exaltation.
• Develop the character of Christ. This means cultivating the fruits of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, etc. These are the qualities that make up Christ's character, and they are also the qualities that we should strive to develop in our own lives.
• Do the acts of Christ. This means following in his footsteps and ministering to others in need. Jesus showed compassion to the poor, the rich, the sick, the brokenhearted, and the lost etc. We can do the same by reaching out to those who are in need and by showing them the love of Christ.
   

Dear congregation, let us all strive to become more like Christ. Let us develop his mind, character, and actions in our own lives. As we do this, we will be transformed into his likeness, and we will make the world a better place.
