Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost. He gave his life on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, and he rose from the dead to give us new life. He left us with the Great Commission to go out and make disciples of all nations. This is a work that continues in our lives, and it is a work that we are all called to participate in.

In order to be effective in this work, you have to be equipped. You must know the word of God by reading and studying your Bible and you ought to be committed to the call of ministry. You must also be willing to be discipled by others. The word of God is our source of truth and authority; It is the only source that can give you the knowledge and understanding you need to share the gospel without the risk of leading other people astray. When you know the word of God, you can speak with confidence and conviction. However, before you make anyone a disciple make sure you yourself you are one because discipleship is the process of learning from and following Jesus; It is a lifelong process that helps us to grow in our faith and become effective vessels.

Brethren, you are called to arise, to commit, and to get equipped for the great commission of sharing the good news of the gospel. You can do this by:

  • Reading your Bible and learning the word of God.
  • Being committed to the call of ministry and sharing the gospel with others.
  • Being willing to be discipled by others and learning from them.

When you do these things, you will be effective in the great task that Christ Jesus assigned to us. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and it is our responsibility to share this good news with others. Let us be faithful to share the good news of salvation with everyone we meet.
