Theme: EVANGELISM AND MISSIONARY ACTIONS.

Topic: For greater effectiveness in preaching the gospel, actions speak louder than words

Texts: James 2:14-26

Preacher: SERGE KIRIPI

Today, as we talk about the effectiveness of preaching the gospel, we will look at the impact of our actions in evangelism, the ultimate question to ask is whether our faith is visible through our actions because the evidence of real faith is seen in our actions.

1.         An empty confession is one that is not accompanied by tangible evidence or action. As Christians, we must mean what we say if we are to bring people to God. Transformative actions are the result of a transformed life, do you mean what you say or confess? In order to avoid an empty confession, we need to make sure that we don't say things for the sake of saying them, but that we mean them.

2.         False compassion

How can we be compassionate when people around us ask for help? As Christians, if we want to preach the Gospel, our actions must speak louder than our words, otherwise, it will be a false compassion. It is our responsibility to act on our faith, when people come to us, we must not only pray for them or with them, but in addition to spiritual support, we must be generous in responding to their request, in giving, in sharing the little we have with those in need.

James' letter is a call to move from superficial faith to real faith, the faith that turns our belief into action, if we want to have a greater impact in our outreach missions, let our actions speak louder than words.
