Theme: Woman, the salvation of the Church and the nation concerns you

Preacher : Rosine Mbissa

 Esther 2 :3-7, Esther 4 :11-17

This teaching opens us to a seminar on the occasion of the month dedicated to women's rights. Our message focuses on Esther’s life who was chosen as queen not because of her beauty or intelligence but by grace. Through her, a whole nation was saved.

Some truths we learn from Esther’s life:

  1. God granted us his salvation not because we are more valuable than others but it is just by his grace: What have you been doing for God since you received salvation? If your salvation produces no fruit, you are useless.
  2. When God lifts you up, humble yourself more before Him: The more you humble yourself before God, the more He lifts you up. The book of Esther is mentioned in the Bible not because she was a queen but because the salvation of the Jews came through her. What you do for God is more valuable than what you are.
  3. To be elevated does not mean to stop praying or fasting: many people think that prayer is for the needy. Good prayer is when we pray without asking God for anything. This proves our love for Him. Pray for others who are in need while you have everything and are safe. When you pray for the needs of others first, God will take care of your needs in return. If something catches your eye, God asks you to pray for it.
  4. The salvation of others passes through you: Esther 4:14, Mordecai reminds Esther that it is for the cause of the Jews that Esther would have ascended the throne as queen. Pray to God that he will make you a vessel by which he will speak and bless his people.
  5. God will always remember everything we do for him: Esther 6:1-2 King Ahasuerus remembered how Mordecai had spared his life by denouncing Bigthan and Teresh, the king's two eunuchs, guards of the threshold, who had wanted to lay hands on him. If the king had remembered this to honour Mordecai, how much more will God do it for his children who are in his service? Write in God's book, he will remember it in time of trouble as he did for King Hezekiah from whom death had moved away. Our participation in worship each Sunday is for ourselves. Let us work for the causeGod’s Kingdom, He will remember it in time of trouble. God saved us to serve him.

Dear congregation, we have been saved by grace. Let us make ourselves useful to the kingdom of God to which we belong from the moment of our conversion. Only our works will accompagn us after death and we will receive the crown of life if we remain faithful.
