Topic: My feet are blessed.

Preacher: Past. Badesire BALEKE

John 13:1-9

As we have come into the presence of God with our feet on this holy communion Sunday, they are blessed.

Our feet are important, they are foundation of our bodies. We have to make sure that they are well managed.

Through John 13, Jesus wanted to communicate three ideas to his disciples:

  1. Jesus needed to teach to his disciples the symbolic significance of feet, they represent life.

Jesus communicate life to his disciples by touching their feet. (Psalms 119:105)

Wherever you go with your feet notice that your life is there and ministry is where your feet are. A Christian has to choose carefully where to go with his feet.

  1. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples to teach them what our feet are designed for.

Our feet are designed for 3 things:

  • to represent God (Revelation 3:20)
  • To receive teachings and to receive wisdom from God (Luc 10: 38- 42)
  • To preach the good news (Isaiah 52:7), to proclaim good news, to proclaim that Jesus Christ is God, to proclaim.

Our feet are not designed to sin, to shed blood or to do evil things. (Isaiah 59:7)

Please people of God, make sure that your feet are doing the purpose for which God created them.

  1. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples to teach them how they should behave.

Disciples have to proclaim humility and to serve others. Make sure that you show love just to one person every day. Make sure to serve others in humility.

  • My feet are blessed because they represent my life, I should make sure that I’m doing God’s will.
  • My feet are blessed because they are designed to represent God, to receive teachings and to preach good news
  • My feet are blessed because I have to be a model, an example in humility and service.

Brother/sister, you have two feet; for which purpose are you using these feet? To do evil? In God’s sight you have no feet.

Brother/Sister, make sure that your two feet have to represent God, to receive teachings and to proclaim God’s will.

Ministry is where your feet are!
