Preacher: Brother Serge KIRIPI
Have you ever felt completely stuck, with no escape, hopeless? The Israelites experienced this despair. Surrounded by Pharaoh’s army, towering mountains, and the vast Red Sea, their situation seemed hopeless. Yet, God used this crisis to reveal His power and teach us a vital lesson, that we will develop today.
It's normal to be scared when things are tough. The Israelites felt scared too, but God used this to help them trust Him more. We might want to stay in our comfort zone, like the Israelites who were complaining and wanted to go back in slavery, but that was not God’s plan, He had a better plan. Sometimes, God allows hard things to happen to us, for him to reveal Himself to us in a greater dimension, to show how great and unlimited He is.
Moses played a great role during the hard situation, as their leader he was under pressure but that did not stop Him, he kept encouraging the Israelites because he knew God would help. Good friends who believe in God can make a big difference when life is hard. Choose your friends carefully. Talk to God about everything – good or bad, acknowledge His love and power during your trials.
We can learn a lot from Jesus when there’s a big storm in our lives. He was calm and asleep in a boat during a terrible storm. This shows us how to really trust God. When bad things happen to us, we should try to stay calm and trust God’s plan. The Bible says in Mark 4:38 that we should rest and trust God when things are crazy. God will definitely help us.
Brothers and sisters, the stories of the Israelites and Jesus teach us one important thing: complete trust in God. Let's believe in God's amazing power, remember His promises, talk to Him about everything, and surround ourselves with other believers. Our God is stronger than anything that can happen to us.
